Telgi sentenced to 10 years in prison
A court in Bangalore has sentenced Abdul Kareem Telgi and four others to 10 years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on each of them in a case of cheating. The court found them guilty of forgery and cheating the government and a private company of around Rs 42 lakh. They forged documents to register a private company's property worth nearly Rs 4 crore. The case is one of 28 being probed by the CBI in which Telgi is an accused.
