West Bengal police chief gets six months in jail

A police chief has been sentenced to six months in jail on Friday for disobeying court orders, officials said.

Anup Bhushan Vohra, director-general of police of West Bengal, was given three weeks to appeal the sentence.

Seventeen others, including two senior police officers and a district administrator, were also sentenced to six months by the high court in Kolkata.
