ச:'ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் புலிகளுக்கு நிதி திரட்டப்படுகிறது'

விடுதலைப்புலிகளுக்கு ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் நிதி திரட்டப்படுகிறது என்பதை ஆஸ்திரேலிய அரசு அதிகாரபூர்வமாக ஒப்புக்கொண்டுள்ளது. ஸ்ரீலங்காவின் வெளியுறவுத்துறை செயலாளரின் அறிக்கையில் சுமார் 10மில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டாலர்கள் (மொத்தத்தில் 20% முதல் 30%) ஆஸ்திரேலியாவிலிருந்து திரட்டப்படுகிறது எனக் கூறப்பட்டதை அடுத்து இந்த அறிவிப்பு வந்துள்ளது.

ஆஸ்திரேலியா 30% அளவில் இல்லையென்றும் 'சிறிய அளவு' ஆஸ்திரேலியாவிலிருந்து திரட்டப்படுகிறது என்றும் அறிவித்துள்ளது.

"It's been very hard to collect evidence, though, about money in Australia and paid directly to the Tamil Tigers, which is, an offense, he added.

"Often the money is being raised for so-called Tamil welfare causes and what happens to that money once it's been raised and goes to those so called welfare causes, that's been a concern for us," he was quoted as saying by a local radio.
