இந்திய விமான பயணிகள் சங்கம் (ஏ.பி.ஏ.ஐ) என்ற அமைப்பு விமான பயணிகளின் உரிமைகள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வினை ஏற்படுத்தும் சேவையினை அளித்து வருகிறது. லாப நோக்கமின்றி செயல்பட்டு வரும் இந்த அமைப்பு, அதன் உறுப்பினர்கள், நாடு முழுவதிலும் உள்ள இத்துறை சார்ந்த செய்தி தொடர்பாளர்கள் மற்றும் அடிக்கடி விமான பயணத்தை மேற்கொள்ளும் பல்வேறு நிறுவன அதிகாரிகள் மத்தியில் ஓர் ஓட்டெடுப்பை நடத்தியது. இந்த ஓட்டெடுப்பின் வாயிலாக ஏர் டெக்கான் நிறுவனம் 2006-ஆம் ஆண்டில் குறைந்த கட்டண விமான சேவை நிறுவனங்களில் சிறப்பான சேவை அளித்த நிறுவனமாக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இது குறித்து ஏர் டெக்கான் நிறுவனத்தின் நிர்வாக இயக்குனர் கேப்டன் ஜி.ஆர்.கோபிநாத் கூறும்போது, "2006-ஆம் ஆண்டின் சிறந்த குறைந்த கட்டண விமான சேவை நிறுவனமாக ஏர் டெக்கான் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது ஒவ்வொரு இந்தியரையும் விமான பயணம் மேற்கொள்ளச் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற நிறுவனத்தின் இலட்சியத்திற்கு ஊக்கமளிப்பதாக உள்ளது. இந்தியாவின் சுற்றுலா மற்றும் விருந்தோம்பல் துறைகளின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு விமானப் போக்குவரத்து வசதிகள் மிகவும் முக்கியமானதாகும்'' என்று தெரிவித்தார்.

சற்றுமுன் காமடியா இது ? ஏர்டொக்கான் ந.1 ன்னா ? எங்க ஊர் டவுன் பஸ்ஸே பரவாயில்லையே ?
சமீபத்தில் இவர்களுது சேவையைப் பற்றி நான் கேள்விப்பட்டது, படித்தது, தொலைக்காட்சியில் பார்த்தது என எல்லா இடங்களிலும் நல்ல விதமாக இல்லையே? இது ஒரு சர்ப்ரைஸ் தேர்வுதானா? இல்லை மற்ற இடங்களில் அதிகமாகவே விமர்சித்தார்களா?
About me....
I am consultant working in USA. Every week I used to fly (about last 9 years). There is no problem except the scary checkings in the airport. Almost I flew through all the US airport and most Major European Airports.
Onetime, I flew in Decon Airlines.
1. Treatment to passanger : The Worst. Every one in the Decon AIrlines feels that they are providing free service.
2. The timing: The worst. The never keep the timing Instead the guys who do Jollu to the airhostess for 30 mintues so....
3. The rules: They have set of rules (which changes every 5 minutes). If you are lucky go early and wait for 2-3 hours to get your boarding pass. They will say their weight for hand luggages and if you are international passanger you have to pay for your hand luggages (unwritten rules)
4. This is the only Airline company as of I know who gives hand written (copies) receipts for any services including tickets.
5. Luggage storage is so scary (inside the Flight with hanging in the NET).
6. I really scared to death.
