தமிழகத்தில் கப்பல்துறை பல்கலைக்கழகம் அமைப்பதற்கான சட்டவரைவை கப்பல் போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சர் டி ஆர் பாலு முன்மொழியத்தயாரான போது இடது சாரி உறுப்பினர்கள் மன்ற முற்றத்தில் ( Well of the House) ஒருமித்து அவரை பேசவிடாமல் தடுத்தனர். மற்ற திமுக அமைச்சர்கள் டி ஆர் பாலுவை சூழ்ந்து கொண்டு அரண் எழுப்பினர். மன்றக் காவலர்கள் இடதுசாரி உறுப்பினர்களை வெளியேற்றியபின் அவை 1300 மணிவரை ஒத்தி வைக்கப் பட்டது.

you have been hearing it on this blog for some time about tamil imperialism, which is about the same as mohammedan victim-syndrome in india: grabbing more than their fair share through intimidation and blackmail. examples in the recent past:

mullaperiyar water
vizhinjam port
palakkad railway division
various car projects, nokia, flextronics etc.
to be fair, chennai (although it has beastly weather) is a good place to set up industries as it has large amounts of marginal land and access to two ports
