நடப்பாண்டில் 4 மாநகராட்சி, 56 நகராட்சிகளில் மண் சாலைகளை தார்ச் சாலைகளாகத் தரம் உயர்த்த அரசு ரூ.10 கோடி நிதி ஒதுக்கியுள்ளது.
தமிழகத்தில் மாநகராட்சி, நகராட்சிகளில் சிமென்ட், தார், உலோக, மண் சாலைகள் உள்ளன. நான்கு ரக சாலைகளையும் தரம் உயர்த்த அரசு முடிவு செய்துள்ளது.செங்கல்பட்டு, வேலூர், சேலம்,திருப்பூர், தஞ்சாவூர், மதுரை, திருநெல்வேலி மண்டலங்களில் 56 நகராட்சிகளில் 60.133 கி.மீ.,மண் சாலைகள் ரூ.8.20 கோடியில் தார்ச்சாலைகளாக தரம் உயர்த்தப்படும்.
மதுரை, திருநெல்வேலி, சேலம், திருச்சி மாநகராட்சிகளில் 13.150 கி.மீ.,மண்சாலைகள் ரூ.1.80 கோடியில் தார்ச்சாலைகளாக தரம் உயர்த்தப்படும் என அரசு செயலர் (உள்ளாட்சிதுறை) தீனபந்து தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

All the borrowed money spent is going to be a waste for the following reasons.
1.Govt Officers & contracors will swallow most part of the alloted money blaming each other for %.
2.All our commercial establishments will make their customers to park their vehicles only on the public road,without paying any money, even they profit from the such customers.
3.Town planning officals will be giving approval even to construct
any thing just near the road without thinking about future plans.So again after some years Govt again has to give compensation to widen the road.
4.Moving Cart vendors will have more places and no body will be asking them to leave or to pay price.
5.a motorcycle parked will occupy 5 feet of road on one side.If bothe side parking is done then 10 feet public road will not be available.
street cart vendor occupies the same area.After motor cycle , parking a car occupies 5 feet of public road.we need minimu 10 feet for one side traffic and for both sides we ma need 10+10+10+10+10= 50 feet wide road minimum.
we can improve if parking slot are created, and restricting free use of public road by vendors, we may get benifited.
