இரானிலிருந்து பாக்கிஸ்தான் வழியாக இந்தியாவுக்கு எரி எண்ணை கொண்டு வரும் திட்டத்துக்கு அமெரிக்கா எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்திருந்தது.
இன்று, திட்டத்தை இந்தியா செயல்படுத்தும் என்றும் வேறெந்த நாடும் அதை கைவிடும்படி இந்தியாவை வற்புறுத்த இயலாது என்றும் பெட்ரோலியத் துறை அமைச்சர் தியோரா பதிலளித்துள்ளார்.

India can't be pressured on Iran pipeline project: Deora
Unfazed by concerns expressed by the US on the proposed USD 7.2 billion Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) gas pipeline, India today said it will go ahead with the project and no country can pressure New Delhi to scrap it.

"I don't see any problem (on IPI pipeline). No country can debar India from this project. No country can pressure us. We are committed to this," Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora told reporters here.

"I can't give any timeframe. The advisors have been appointed and they are preparing the feasibility report. It is too early to say at this stage," he said.
